Abyssus Builds (“we”, “this site”) is a static, independent fan website. We aim to collect as little data as possible.

What we collect

Cloudflare Web Analytics and RUM

Cloudflare may automatically add its cookieless Web Analytics / Real User Monitoring (RUM) beacon at the hosting layer. It can run whether or not you accept the separate, optional Google Analytics described below. The beacon measures page views, referral or landing paths, and performance information such as page-load timing and Core Web Vitals, then sends those measurements to Cloudflare through /cdn-cgi/rum.

Cloudflare states that this beacon does not use cookies or access browser storage and does not track individual visitors across customer sites. Cloudflare receives a source IP address as part of normal request handling, but states that it discards that address at the nearest data center rather than storing it in RUM’s core databases or logs. Local collection checklists

Scribe and Surge Fissure checklists save completed entries only in this browser. Export creates a local JSON backup; import reads it on your device. These files and individual completion records are never uploaded. Use Reset progress on the relevant checklist or clear site data to remove them.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 only after you choose to allow it in “Privacy choices”. It helps us understand which guides are useful and whether visitors successfully move from a tier list or weapon guide into the Build Creator. The site works fully if you reject analytics.

When enabled, Google Analytics may process page views, interaction events, referral source, approximate country, and browser/device information. Our custom events use coarse game data such as weapon name, entry page, selection counts and share method. Collection events contain the checklist type, a fixed action name and completion in 10% bands; guide events contain a predefined guide identifier. Search text, file contents and individual checklist entries are excluded. Automatic search, form, file-download and URL-change tracking are disabled. Page and referrer URLs are reduced to their origin and path before they reach Google; query strings and fragments are removed. We do not send full Build Creator URLs, build hashes, account details, email addresses or other directly identifying information.

Adsterra advertising

Pages can display Adsterra banners above and below the content, native ads between sections, and a sidebar banner on wider desktop screens. Adsterra is loaded when you scroll near an ad placement. For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we first ask for permission for advertising cookies. When we cannot determine the region, we also wait for consent. Elsewhere, advertising normally loads without this extra prompt. Your Google Analytics choice is separate from advertising. Advertising also appears on the homepage and Build Creator.

When ads are enabled, Adsterra and its advertising partners may receive your IP address, browser and device details, site origin, ad impressions and interactions, and may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver, measure and personalise ads and prevent fraud. See Adsterra’s privacy policy. We do not send your locally saved builds or checklist records to Adsterra.

“Hide ad” dismisses the current page’s placement only; it is not a lasting ad-free preference. Where we ask for advertising consent, you can withdraw it in Cookie settings; the page reloads to stop further advertising activity. A Global Privacy Control signal also prevents Adsterra from loading. These controls do not erase information already received by providers or cookies on their domains; you can remove those through your browser’s site-data controls.

Cookies and your choice

Cloudflare determines which advertising-consent notice to show from the request’s country. Our region endpoint returns only whether consent is required, with no IP address, precise location or visitor identifier, and is not cached across users.

Google Analytics may set first-party _ga and related _ga_* cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. These cookies can last for up to two years unless you remove them sooner. Google advertising storage, Google Signals and Google ad personalisation remain disabled; Adsterra follows the regional settings described above.

Your Google Analytics choice and, where requested, advertising-cookie choice, their policy versions and the times you made them are stored locally in your browser. We ask again after about six months or when this policy’s consent version changes. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out and keep Google Analytics and Adsterra disabled while the signal is active.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Rejecting Google Analytics stops future events from this site and removes Google Analytics cookies that this site can access. It does not delete information that Google has already processed.

Service providers

Cloudflare processes hosting, security and RUM data as described above. Google processes optional Analytics data on our behalf; Adsterra and its partners process advertising data as described above. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
