Abyssus Shadows Aspect
What the Shadows Aspect does
Shadows is a setup Aspect: it makes follow-up damage and status-focused builds more valuable rather than acting as the whole damage plan.
Applies Shadows, a damage-amplifying status that also supports longer status-focused setups.
- Pick it when
- Pick it when the weapon can re-hit marked enemies or the rest of the loadout already has a strong status payoff.
- Think twice when
- Avoid spending many slots on setup if short fights end before the follow-up arrives.
Best Shadows Blessings
Pairs with Fire or Frost and gives the Disc Thrower a useful setup layer.
Exposing Shadows
Supports the Aspect’s damage-amplifier role.
Engulfing Shadows
Helps maintain coverage across a fight.
Nights Patience
Fits longer encounters where setup has time to pay off.
How to build around Shadows
- Apply Shadows early in the encounter.
- Use repeat hits or a second status to exploit the marked window.
- Add duration only when enemies live long enough to justify it.

All Shadows Blessings
Your primary weapon, secondary weapon, and ability each establish an Aspect slot. The third Blessing from one Aspect unlocks its Minor threshold and the sixth its Major threshold. Upgrade Kits and Upgrade Altars can improve eligible Blessings; check the in-game Logbook for the exact value on your current patch.
