Abyssus Brine Aspect
What the Brine Aspect does
Brine is the Update 1.3 Aspect built around vials and area effects. Its role is still being mapped after the latest content update.
Added in Update 1.3, Brine uses vials and area effects across its primary, secondary and ability variants.
- Pick it when
- Pick it when you want to experiment with persistent areas or repeated vial effects and can keep enemies inside them.
- Think twice when
- Avoid calling it an automatic best-in-slot choice until the run has a clear trigger and payoff; current recommendations are intentionally provisional.
Best Brine Blessings
A newer, flexible area-control option; recommendations remain lower-confidence while the 1.3 meta settles.
Splattering Brine
A clear starting point for spreading the area effect.
Detonating Brine
Adds a burst payoff to placed Brine.
Vial Repeater
Supports a repeated-vial route.
How to build around Brine
- Choose one vial or area trigger you can activate reliably.
- Add detonation or repetition to that same loop.
- Keep a conventional damage or defense option while learning the new Aspect.

All Brine Blessings
Your primary weapon, secondary weapon, and ability each establish an Aspect slot. The third Blessing from one Aspect unlocks its Minor threshold and the sixth its Major threshold. Upgrade Kits and Upgrade Altars can improve eligible Blessings; check the in-game Logbook for the exact value on your current patch.
