Abyssus Bottomless Chasm Builds

Long runs reward a loop that survives changing rooms, targets and pickup offers. Start with a repeatable weapon engine, patch its opposite encounter, then prefer upgrades whose condition you can continue satisfying—not the largest number in one ideal setup.

Strong long-run starting profiles

Consistency firstTesla Gun has excellent clear and high safety; carry a direct boss answer.
Geometry ceilingDisc Thrower can cover rooms and bosses when repeat contacts remain reliable.
Hybrid precisionCombat Bow has strong clear and boss coverage, with execution as the cost.
Boss anchorBrine Revolver keeps excellent single-target pressure; build the rest of the loadout for packs.

Disc Thrower
Tier S
Repeat contacts can serve both pack clear and boss pressure when a bounce path is controllable.Open geometry or an unreliable return path removes much of the ceiling.Shorten the route against one target and keep a direct boss or survival slot.
Tesla Gun
Tier S
Movement-friendly chains make room-to-room execution forgiving and distribute repeated-hit effects. An isolated durable target removes the value of chains.Reserve direct burst through the Ability or Charm slot before the single-target check arrives.
Plasma Launcher
Tier S
Explosions and control convert dense spawns into a repeatable area-clear loop.Isolated targets and point-blank pressure expose its weaker boss plan and self-damage risk.Add Frozen control, safe distance, and direct boss pressure through Smiting Spear or a dedicated multiplier.
Brine Revolver
Tier S
Accurate Weakspot hits keep a strong elite and boss answer throughout a run.Scattered packs demand more targets than the deliberate shot loop can comfortably handle.Use an area Ability, spread effect or teammate role to solve adds.
Combat Bow
Tier A
Charged precision plus Smart Arrow offers a credible answer to both bosses and rooms.Draw time and aim become expensive when the arena denies a safe line.Protect charge timing with control, mobility or draw comfort before adding another condition.
Fish Deity
Tier A
The goo-and-stab loop and persistent summons can keep pressure during disengagement.Close commitment and unfamiliar inputs make the loop less consistent.Prioritise a reliable exit and defensive buffer before chasing the maximum combo.
Shotgun
Tier A
Immediate point-blank burst removes priority targets before they occupy the room.Short range and expanding danger zones punish an entry with no exit ready.Treat mobility and Barrier support as part of the damage loop, not optional comfort.
Harpoon Gun
Tier B
Pierce and planned combo cash-outs reward lined-up targets and deliberate burst windows.Reload downtime and scattered targets reduce room-to-room consistency.Repair reload first, then add a separate pack answer instead of over-stacking one cash-out.
Engine Rifle
Tier C
Predictable automatic fire supports repeated-hit effects while a route is still forming. The starter lacks a defining payoff and needs more upgrades to match specialised weapons.Spend only enough to stabilise the run and keep evaluating unlocked replacements.

Build in four layers

  1. Engine: take one repeatable interaction—chains, ricochets, Weakspots, explosions, summons or a primary–secondary loop.
  2. Coverage: solve the opposite encounter. A pack weapon needs an isolated-target plan; a boss weapon needs a room plan.
  3. Continuity: protect reload, Heat, charge time, range and movement so the engine continues under pressure.
  4. Adaptation: use later choices to answer what the expedition actually offers instead of forcing a perfect preset.

Charms worth evaluating for a long run

Charms worth evaluating for a long Bottomless Chasm run.
CharmReviewed effectDecision question
Violent Commitment+3% all damage per Depth completed while equipped. Can you keep the slot equipped long enough for its scaling to beat an immediate fix?
Healthy Commitment+3% max Health per Depth completed while equipped. Is survivability, rather than output, the recurring limit?
BlessedDeal 10% more damage for every Minor and Major Blessing.Does the current run already have the Blessing count to justify it?
Giant SlayerDeal 20% more damage to Bosses & Elites. Is the run stable in rooms but stalling on priority targets?
LifelineTake 50% less damage while under 50% Health.Does this recover a run, or are hits too large and frequent for the threshold to matter?

Fixed checkpoint or long-run plan?

If the immediate goal is one defined checkpoint, use the Deep Water 30 guide. For Bottomless Chasm, keep the same coverage checks but value repeatable conditions and a pivot plan more heavily.
